As a community reading in the Coastline of the Indian Ocean, we are aware of the adverse consequences of climate change and how they affect our livelihoods. At GGI, through this thematic area, we hope to to get involved in the climate action efforts implemented within the Coastal strip of Kenya and beyond.
In regards to this theme, we have undertaken several activities in partnership with relevant organisations.
GGI, through its association with Young African Leaders Initiative Pwani Chapter was invited for a post Africa Climate Summit engagement session at the American Corner, Mombasa, The two day event involved a tree planting activity in Kilifi for restoration of mangroves in the coastal strip held in Bamba, Kilifi.
