GGI Kwale Community Resource Center

The Kwale Community Resource Center by GGI is a community building will the goal of
improving literacy and breaching rural-urban rural literacy gap. The community center is
a learning space made up of a library and technology center build on a land that was
donated by the Vanga community to GGI as a gesture that they wanted the team to stay
in the community.
The community center contains a library, learning and reading spaces for the community
to hold shared learning spaces and the technology center to hold digital literacy classes.
The space is open to all community members and visitors.
The community center runs hand in hand with the Angaza elimu book drive that hopes to
stock up books and learning materials for the library. Initiatlly, the books have been
donated to schools where GGI runs bookclubs and portable libraries as the resources
center building is started and completed. Currently, GGI runs bookclubs in 5 junior
secondary schools in Vanga ward. The community center will help GGI reach more
students beyond the schools we operate in.
